A loan of $450 helped to buy manure, fertilizer, insecticides, and pay for labor.

Omar Enrique's story

Omar is 22 years old and is originally from the region of El Jazmín outside of Teustepe, and is a farmer. He has one son who is 1 year old. His beginnings were at the age of 8 when he worked with his parents, cleaning up land and planting vegetables and basic grains. Currently he grows corn, beans, and wheat. Also, when he is not working to sow crops, he travels to Costa Rica to work as a helper in a coffee farm. He uses the money he saves to invest in home improvements.

He is looking for financing in order to buy manure, fertilizer, insecticides, and pay for labor to sow corn and beans. The season is about to start and he needs these supplies in order to obtain a good-quality product. One of his future plans is to buy 5 plots of land and improve the breeding of his animals.
