Maria Ester's story

María is 35 years old and a widow with 5 children. She lives in the municipality of Nueva Frontera together with four of her children. She has worked in coffee cultivation and two years ago she decided to establish a grocery store to obtain more income. In the grocery store she sells salt, bread, sugar, vegetables, basic grains, soft drinks, snacks, etc. She has decided to request a loan for 12,000 lempiras (HNL) to buy products that she doesn’t currently have like basic grains, churros (fried pastries), soft drinks, vegetables and other things. Her goal is to increase her earnings and her business.
