Nkosinathi's story

Nkosinathi is a Business Management student at the Maharishi Institute. He is applying for a loan for his last year and a half of studies. Nkosinathi is 22 years old and was asked the following questions by a staff member of the Institute:

What do you study at the Maharishi Institute and what classes do you enjoy most?

"Business Administration. I enjoy the maths class because it's where I get more knowledge on how to count because the study that I am doing is all about business."

What are your goals after graduation?

"My goal is to start my own business where I come from and I would love to work at KPMG Company in Johannesburg. I would love to go to travel the world because it's where I will gain more experience to conquer the skill that I have."

Tell us about your background?

"I was born in Kwazulu Natal in rural areas, I do have one sister, my father does work as a security guard and my mother she's not working. I'm not married and I don't have children."

What do you do in your spare time?

"I like to play soccer and go to positive living group because I believe these two things that I mentioned they made a huge development in me because the take me away from bad things like alcohol, drugs and stealing."

How will the Kiva Loan change your life?

"If I can get this loan from Kiva it will be highly appreciated in me because I struggle a lot when when it comes to pay for my fees and with Kiva Loan I can change my lifestyle because I will put more effort into my studies to get my degree. Maybe I can carry on with my masters."
