A loan of $850 helped a member to buy new electrical goods for expanding her business.


Al-Amany Group's story

Al-Amany is a group which consists of three women from Aden, Yemen. They asked for a 180,000 YER loan from AMB to help them improve their business. Samira is a 23-year-old mother of two children. She didn’t complete her education because she got married when she was 18. Her oldest child is three years old and the youngest is just seven months old. She started up her business three years ago. She goes door to door to sell some products like electrical goods especially in her neighborhood. She is making modest profits. She got a loan of 60,000 YER to expand her business. She wants to buy new electrical goods and start selling them to her clients not just in her neighborhood but also in near quarters. She looks forward to opening her own retail store.
