Al-Ymama Group's story

This group is called Al-Ymama which consists of three ladies who live in Aden, Yemen. They applied for a loan of 150,000 YER from AMB. Haya is a 32-year-old married woman and a mother of five children. She started a small business of selling sheep and goats eight years ago. She found it difficult to accumulate a large amount of money to expand her business because most of the profit she makes goes to her family expenses including school fees, clothes and food. Therefore, she decided to apply for a loan of 50,000 YER to buy livestock to use in her business. She looks forward to opening a retail shop which in turn will result in her improving her income and increasing her income above the poverty line.
