Carmen's story

Carmen is 23-years-old, is single and does not have children. She lives in a house with her mother. Carmen works in the sale of candies. Everyday she works in a large table where is places all the different candies such as chocolates, cookies, caramels, gym and different treats. Her store is located in a door in a garden near children and near her home. Fortunately, she always has good sales. She resupplies her business weekly, investing 300 soles in each buy. She has been working in this activity for the past 3 years and sometimes she receives help from her mom. Eventually she sells fruits and sodas depending on the climate and the capital that she has. She likes that her job provides her an income that she generates herself. This income allows her to pay for her necessities and contribute to the expenses of the household. She is very happy growing her business because she feels useful to the community, although many times she is tired from the work. Nevertheless, she always renews her energy and continues working with optimism. For this opportunity she is requesting 2500 soles. She is grateful for the opportunity and the confidence that is demonstrated in her to receive this loan. On the other hand, she promises to pay the quotas on time. With the loan she will purchase more candy such as caramels, small corn leaves, chewing gum, cookies, snacks, fruits and other items.
