A loan of $600 helped to buy charcoal.

Elga's story

Elga is 30 years old, married and has two children. She lives in a home of her own with her children and husband. Together they do what they need to provide the best quality of life. Elga sells charcoal. She works from her home, where she sets up a table for her bags that she has acquired from another town. She buys in large sacks that provide her enough for more than 50 small bags that she resells. She buys approximately five sacks per week, for about 100 PEN each time. She has had this business for more than four years and things are going well. She enjoys her work because it generates an income of her own from the comfort of her home where she can also do the work necessary to care for her home. She has learned to do both. She wants to set up a larger location so she can have more bags of charcoal and improve her income. She is asking for a loan in the amount of 1,500 PEN and is grateful to those who make this loan possible so that she can complete her goals.

She will use the money to buy two sacks of charcoal to sell.
