Sarita's story

30 year old Sarita is a smiley, charismatic, and hard working woman. She is single and does not have children. She lives in her own home along with her parents and her sister. She works everyday to improve her quality of life.
Sarita works selling food such as stews, fried rice, Juanes (a dish of rice, chicken, and hard-boiled eggs), chorizos, and various other typical dishes that characterize Peruvian cuisine. She has a stall in a well-known tourist center in the city. She begins work in her house very early with the preparation of the stews which she later takes to the point of sale. Everything finishes around 4 in the afternoon and she goes home to rest after her hard work.
She began in this business 10 years ago and works with the help of her sister. She very much likes her work for various reasons, one of them being the income that she makes from it, another being the joy she gets from the work and the continuous busyness of the area where she works, and, finally, she likes to continually observe the scenery and nature as her stall is located next to one of the most beautiful lagoons of the town.
She is requesting $250 to buy utensils such as rice, meat, and condiments, with which she will prepare her dishes.
