A loan of $650 helped to invest in her carrot crops.

Raquel's story

Raquel is 44 years old and has ten children (six boys and four girls). She has a partner and they live in the municipality of Sololá.

Raquel and her partner make a living in agriculture (growing onions) and selling vegetables. They have been doing this for over 30 years and through it they have earned most of their income to support the family. They do this work as their grandparents taught them the trade.

Raquel is applying for a loan of 5,000 Quetzal for working capital for carrot crops.

Raquel's dream is to renovate her house so that it is more comfortable and to buy more land to work.
