A loan of $325 helped to buy make-up, perfumes, facial creams and other products.

Delia's story

Delia is 37 years old, married and has two young children, with whom she lives alongside her husband in her own house. Together Delia and her husband are trying to offer their children the best possible living conditions and to pay for necessities. Delia makes a living selling make-up and women's accessories, such as perfumes, body creams, lipstick, hand cream, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. All of Delia's branded merchandise is sent in big packages from other cities. Delia's customers are friends family members and colleagues who pay either in cash or in installments, with Delia collecting payments daily, weekly or fortnightly. Delia has been doing this work for around 19 years and she sometimes receives support from her husband, who has a vehicle that he uses for moving merchandise. Delia is very satisfied with how well the business is going now. She really likes this job because it leaves her with some free time when she can do the household chores in peace. In addition, Delia has earned respect and confidence from customers because of her good customer service and her big smile. On this occasion, Delia is applying for 800 Nuevo Soles and is grateful to those who are providing the loan she needs to increase her working capital. With this loan, Delia will purchase make-up and accessories such as perfumes, facial creams and earrings.
