Eva's story

Eva, a married mother of three children, two of whom attend school, also takes care of additional family members. She resides in her own house, and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses includes school fees and feeding the family.

Eva has a business selling used bags and women shoes, and generates additional income from rental rooms. She works in a shop seven days a week and sells on a retail basis only. Her major business challenges include seasonality and thieves.

Eva has requested a loan of Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bales of bags and used shoes. She aspires to own a fully-stocked clothing shop and also to build more rental rooms.
