A loan of $250 helped to buy carbonated drinks, cookies, caramels, and other items.

Nelly's story

Nelly is a 41 year old woman who is married and has 3 children living with her in her own home. Nelly spends her time working as a saleswoman selling all different flavors and sizes of sodas, as well as delicious sweets which delight the palates of both children and adults, such as cookies, caramels, gum, cheese puffs, and chocolates. She has created a concession stand at her house, and she works there every day, sometimes with the help of her spouse or on occasion her children help out as well.

She restocks her stand on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, buying everything she needs to fill her stand. Her humble little stand is across the street from a school, which gives her a stream of customers throughout the day. She has spent the past 20 years in this business and her profits have been quite good ever since she started to grow her stand. Eventually, she began to expand her offerings with the sale of bananas and other local products. Her work allows her to pay for the essential costs of her household and feel good because she can work with her husband.

She is requesting 600 Soles to purchase carbonated beverages, cookies, candies, and other products to help her supplement her business, she is grateful for the financial support she will receive and agrees to pay her loan back punctually.
