Luz Marina's story

Luz Marina is 57 years old. She is the mother of 4 adult children and she lives in the south western part of the city with her husband. From 8 in the morning until 6 at night she works at her business making and selling gelatin, drinks, and ice cream that she sells weekly. She has customers she has gained over her 16 years experience and she is very well known in her neighborhood and in the areas nearby where she lives. Her goal for the future is to have a locale set up for this type of business and to do that she has to increase her coverage. To do that , she needs fresh capital that will allow her to increase her production. That is why she has turned to to a Kiva loan, the seventh loan she has taken out with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. This organization has increased her sales, fortifying her supplies. With this new loan, Luz Marina will buy ingredients, gelatins, ice pops and ice cream, condensed mill, and more to produce for nearby plazas and make this investment a total success.
