A loan of $600 helped to buy bricks, sand, cement, wood, and corrugated metal roofing so that his family will have greater comfort.

Mario's story

Mario has been married to his wife for 26 years, and they have six children who are of school age. He lives in his own house, which belongs to him and his wife, and they occupy six rooms that have walls of adobe and stucco and a floor of boards and cement. The house is located in the Villa Ingenio zone of the city of El Alto.

He now works as an artisan baker, baking bread that he sells in the same zone to the neighborhood stores. With this business, he has a daily income from sales. His family helps with the business. His wife works at his side and also does the household tasks. They both pay for the basic services for their family.

He needs the loan to complete the construction of two rooms, because his children sleep in a single room, and this will improve their quality of life. He needs to buy bricks, cement, sand, wood, and corrugated iron for the roofs.

Mario's dream is to see his children have careers.

This is the first time that he has applied to IMPRO and Kiva for a loan.
