Fatmata's Group's story

Fatmata's Group consists of teachers based in Magburaka, a town in northern Sierra Leone. They are requesting a loan from Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT) for 18,200,000 SLL for the entire group. With the help of this loan, they can meet their most immediate and most pressing financial needs. And at the end of each month, they can repay the loan. It is their school’s bursar who is directly responsible for doing the deductions and making the repayments on their behalf.

Brima is the leader of these teachers. He is 57 years old, married, and has four children who attend school. He is a native of Masokeh village, in northern Sierra Leone. Brima has been a professional teacher for 36 years. He is requesting this loan, which he will use to buy house building materials, such as sand and cements, for the construction of a house.
