A loan of $5,975 helped a member to purchase Fanta, Coca colla, vital, etc.

Salama Group's story

This client, Maregane, is the treasurer of the business group Salama. A young entrepreneur, she is 27 years old, married, and the mother of five children. Her husband is a small-scale merchant of various goods. This client sells sweetened beverages. She started this business with her own funds gotten from her husband. Later on, she benefited from additional loan funds from the microfinance institution Hekima. She has been in this business for about ten years.

This new loan will be used to purchase 10 cases of Fanta, Coca colla, vital, etc. to sell. Breakage and merchandise shortages are the main challenges for her business. When merchandise is short, she is sometimes compelled to go get supplies in Rwanda, a neighboring country.

She would like to grow her capital and educate her children. In conclusion, she thanks Hekima very much for its micro-loan support.
