Tukad Kemiri Group's story

The Tukad Kemiri group is made up of 5 women who are neighbors in the same village in Pemuteran, North Bali. The group is seeking a loan of 5M IDR, and each member will receive 1M IDR. The group was formed out of these women’s common interest in raising pigs to support their families, and out of their interest in educating others on the best practices for pig raising. This is their first loan with MUK.
Ni Nyoman, is the head of the Tukad Kemiri group. She plans to use her share of the loan to purchase 2 superior piglets for fattening. Over the six-month loan period, she hopes to have fat and healthy pigs. She will sell the pigs in six months. With her income, she hopes to be able to fulfill their daily needs and save as well.
