A loan of $2,025 helped a member to buy food for pigs and fix the pig-pen.

Sari Mertha Group's story

To continue to develop their businesses, the Sari Mertha group continue taking loans. The group has three new members and the group is now composed of 13 members.

This loan will be used to buy local piglets and superior piglets. Ni Luh already has a sow, so her loan will be used to buy food for pigs and fix the pig-pen. Because her pig-pen is now too small to accommodate all her pigs, the piglets are left free in her garden. She hopes that the pig-pen will be fixed immediately so the piglets do not roam and disturb neighbors. With this effort, Ni Luh is supporting her husband to fulfill their family's needs.

Ni Luh and one other member could not attend the meeting. The woman raising her hand in the picture is the group's treasurer, Ni Ketut.

In this group: Ni Luh*, Ni Komang, Ni Ketut, Ni Nyoman, Komang, Kadek, Ni Kadek, Ni Luh, Ketut, Ni Ketut*, Ni Luh, Ni Made, Putu
