A loan of $1,175 helped to improve her stall's infrastructure and purchase meat.

Alicia's story

Alicia is 41 years old, married, and has two children who are 15 and 19 years old. She lives in her mother's house together with her family.

Alicia works selling meats. She mainly sells pork and eventually beef. She gets her products every day from the supply center for meats certified for human consumption. She has her sales stall in one of the main markets in the city where she transports the meats that she ordered the day before. The demand for these types of meats is high which allows her to always have good daily sales. Very few times has she not been able to sell all of her stock at the end of the day. The thing she likes about her work is the camaraderie that exists among the merchants who work in the same area she does since they support each other in finding new customers. The income she earns with her sales help meet her household expenses and allow her to save for something unexpected.

Currently she is requesting 3000 soles. She is grateful for the opportunity provided and the financial support that she needs to continue forward. With the loan requested, she will improve the infrastructure of her sales stall and purchase a larger quantity of pork so that she can continue working.
