A loan of $2,000 helped to buy a motorcycle to serve as transportation to reach his sons' school and the fields where he cultivates vegetables.

Miguelon's story

Miguelon is married and has 2 sons, both of school age. He lives in his own house little protected from the ambience, with a bedroom but no kitchen. The house is built of adobe and the floor is packed earth. it lacks some walls but has a roof. The house is located in Coripata zone, in the Trinidad Pampa sector of Las Yungas in La Paz.

At present, he cultivates vegetables in a rudimentary way and his wife also works, cultivating vegetables and herbs, and clearing small farms. They sell their products in the zone where they live and in the city of La Paz. The place where they work is replete with dirt and dust. They work every day of the week. Both collaborate in paying for the services, food, clothing, and education of their sons.

He needs the loan to purchase a motorcycle to help transport his family, for his sons to go to school and for him to go to his fields where he works amidst the dirt and dust.

Miguelon's dream is to be able to count on enough working capital to facilitate improved production and, thus, improving his quality of life.

This is the 1st loan he has solicited from IMPRO and Kiva.
