Grace's story

Grace is a 48-year-old resident of Aggrey LC1 zone. She lost her husband in a car accident in 2002; since then, she has been the only breadwinner for her family of four children and dependents. Grace has an obligation of taking care of her sister’s children, because she also passed away three years ago, by paying their tuition from the little income she earns from her business.

Grace started this business seven years ago as a source of income. She started the business as a way of supporting herself and the family. Grace’s business is strategically located, but her major challenge is inadequate capital, which doesn’t enable her to buy enough stock; this also hinders its growth and expansion, hence the request to be funded.

She also has a dream of acquiring a piece of land on which she will build her own house, since her children are growing up and soon finishing their studies. Her neighbors recommended her for being a hardworking, determined and supportive person in society.
