Saman Group's story

Saman is 30-years-old, and a diligent and hardworking woman living in Rawalpindi, Pakistan along with her husband and three daughters. Her husband is a carpenter and his income is insufficient to pay the educational expenses of their children and other household expenses.

Saman is helping her husband by reselling cloth in her house which she has done for 4 years. She wants to purchase large quantities, and good quality cloth, from other cities and then sell for a profit. For that purpose she has requested a loan from kiva’s partner BRAC Pakistan, as a member of two person group, so that she can expand her business. This could increase her net income and savings and she is very hopeful for this loan.
