A loan of $325 helped to buy ingredients to make juice.

Ramatou's story

Ramatou is single, 23 years old, and a mother of one child. She lives with her child at her father's house in the Faraba neighborhood of Bougouni. After secondary school, where she received a diploma to be an administrative assistant, she was unemployed for a long time. Thus, she decided to follow in the footsteps of her mother and learn how to make and sell juice.

She conducts this business now with three years of experience. Having heard about Soro Yiriwaso through a customer, Ramatou decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso loan program. She is now on her second loan, after having correctly repaid her first.

With his loan, she plans to buy 15 kilograms of sugar, 5 kilograms of bissap, 2 kilograms of ginger, some packets of plastic bags, and some flavorings.

The juice is sold in different parts of Bougouni.

Ramatou hopes to earn, with this loan, an average monthly income of 25,000 francs CFA, which will be used to repay the loan and to meet her family's expenses.
