A loan of $1,200 helped to buy second-hand shoes to sell.

Francis's story

Francis used the previous loan to buy shoes to sell. He is a married man with four children living in Kagadi, Uganda. For two years, he has been trading in second-hand shoes, and with the proceeds, he has been able to buy land and pay school fees for his children. He is also a farmer who mainly grows bananas and beans. Inadequate capital is the factor affecting the business growth, while his dreams are to trade on a wholesale basis and educate his children up to the University. Francis intends to use the loan to buy second-hand shoes to sell.
