A loan of $6,225 helped a member to buy wool to make sweaters and blankets.

Nueva Vida Group's story

The entrepreneur bank NUEVA VIDA is comprised of eight members, six of whom are women and two men. The president of the bank is Naty, 49, who is married and has two children, ages 12 and 9, who go to school. She knits blankets and women's sweaters in her workshop in the area known as El Carmen. This will be her first loan through the institution and Naty plans to use it to buy wool wholesale to make blankets and sweaters. This is the time of year she has many orders and also delivers to the city markets in El Alto.

She is requesting a loan to increase her work capital. Naty must face business challenges such as keeping her business stocked with merchandise. She will use the profits to continue buying materials wholesale so she can do her knitting work. Naty is happy and grateful to the institution for the support she is receiving.
