José Santos's story

José is 72 years old. He is married and has two children. José has always been carpenter, having worked in the trade for some 55 years. He learned the skills from his father when he was 18 and, since then, it has been his main source of income for hleping his family to prosper.

José is applying for a loan with "Fundación Campo" as he is missing a few materials to finish some pieces of furniture. He needs mirrors, door handles with locks and paint. He will also use the loan to pay the labourer who is supporting him in finishing his orders. With this investment José will be able to cover the costs of finishing the items of furniture and will be able to sell them on. This loan will give José the opportunity to improve his carpentry work and he will have the materials available to do his work. José is hard-working and known for his work. Those who know him buy his products.

José wants to continue working as a carpinter as he has been doing it since he was young. Through this work he has been able to help his family prosper. He likes the work and, after 55 years doing it, he says he would never stop doing it. He loves his work and his goal is to continue working with the communal bank as they have provided him with the opportunity to work when he needed it.
