A loan of $600 helped to purchase fabrics to turn them into ready to wear clothing that she can sell.

Ndèye Bayang's story

Ndèye Bayang is a 35 year old woman who lives near the local branch office. Ndèye Bayang is a merchant with ten years of experience in her trade. She sells ready to wear clothing, sold primarily during the holiday services (Signard) held in the region of Saint-Louis. Ndèye Bayang has no family to support.

With this loan she wants to diversify her commerce with the sale of fabrics like wax (high quality pagnes, traditional West African printed cloth), thioub (dyed cotton damask cloth) and school blouses. Ndèye Bayang starts her day at 8 am and finishes working at 8 pm. Her hope is to open training schools for girls and boys in her district.
