A loan of $600 helped to buy stock for the retail shop.

Jackline Rose's story

Jackline is a fourth time borrower of UGAFODE Microfinance limited. She is applying for a 1,500,000 UGX loan. She is a single mother with a six-year-old daughter. She rents a double-roomed house in one of the outskirts of the city. Her major source of income is a small retail shop that she operates along the streets of the city with little capital.

The purpose of the loan is to add stock to her business by purchasing the goods that are highly demanded by her customers, especially Pampers since mothers are the highest consumers. She is confident that after she has restocked her business her capital will increase and so will her customers.
She has future plans of expanding her shop to a big one and educating her daughter in good schools.
