A loan of $1,750 helped a member to buy flour and cooking oil.

Zion Christian Association Group's story

Joyce, a 34-year-old married mother of four children, all of whom go to school, is a resident of Kitoro and a member of Zion Christian Association Group. Joyce has a small business frying cassava pancakes which she sells to school children and passersby. She also lays bricks to supplement her meagre income.

Joyce has requested a loan of ugx.300,000 to boost her business through the purchase of flour and cooking oil; she will also use part of it to pay the tuition balance for one of her children.

Joyce's goals are to see her children graduate and obtain good-paying jobs. She is so grateful to Kiva lenders for their support.
