A loan of $5,975 helped a member buy five baskets of fish.

Neema Group's story

Kabuo is Secretary of the Neema Group. A young 33-year-old entrepreneur, she is married with two children. Her husband is a soldier in the loyalist armed forces.

She is a fish merchant. She started this business activity using funds received from her husband. Later on she was granted additional funding through the Hekima MFI. She has been running her business for the past 13 years.

This new loan will be used to buy five baskets of fish for resale. Damage and rot are major challenges in this type of activity.

She wants to increase her capital worth, and build a home for her family. She is very thankful to Hekima for its support through micro-financing.
