Eyvaz's story

Eyvaz is 47 years old, married, and has two children, a 15-year-old and a 20-year-old son. Eyvaz has been an IDP (Internally Displaced Person) from Fuzuli city. Now he lives in Fuzuli region, which is close to the occupied border, with his family. His wife stays at home, so he is the only one making an income. He wants his his sons to go into business. His younger son goes to school and his elder son goes to college.

This is Eyvaz's first loan from Kiva. He started his taxi-driving business six years ago. Now he needs an AZN 1,500 (Azerbaijan New Manat) loan to repair his car because his car has broken down. He is thankful to Komak Credit Union and Kiva for supporting him. He wants to use the money from his business to help his family and to change his car.

In the future, he wants to buy a new car because this car is old and uncomfortable for passengers. This will make his business more profitable.
