A loan of $4,900 helped a member buy 300 boxes of salt and some beauty salon equipment.

Baraka Office Group's story

Sifa is treasurer of the Baraka Office Group. She is a 43-year-old entrepreneur, married with six children all attending school. Her husband is a welder.

She sells salt (wholesale). She displays her products in front of her sales depot. She is also a partner in managing a modern beauty salon. She started these businesses using her own funds which she built up in a tontine (savings association). Later, she was granted a credit loan from Hekima.

She has been running the beauty salon business for 15 years and the wholesale salt business for one year.

This new loan will be used to buy 300 boxes of salt and some equipment for her beauty salon. She wants to increase her capital worth and pursue her children's education.

In the end, she strongly thanks Hekima for its support through micro-financing and its vision of empowering women entrepreneurs.
