Sara Luisa's story

Sara Luisa is a 60-year old single woman who lives in one of the municipalities of Chinandega, located in the Southwest side of the country. Sara Luisa makes a living from selling clothing items, sewing products, cosmetics and ice. She buys her supplies in Chinandega and sells them to truck drivers and other regular and occasional clients. She gives credit to her clients and gets paid every two weeks. She is a hard-working and fighting woman.

Sara Luisa is now requesting a loan to make improvements to her home. She wants to build a hut in the laundry area and a gutter in two of the rooms to prevent the rain from draining into the house. She has wanted to make these improvements for some time but did not have the financial availability to do so. Sara has worked with the Foundation before and has demonstrated her responsibility in paying back in time and under the agreed terms.

Her dream is to finish her house and to have a decent home for living. Thanks to the requested loan she will buy construction materials such as nails, zinc, metal sticks and others.
