Johana Del Rosario's story

Johana is 32 years old. She is from Jinotepe, but right now she lives in Leon with her spouse. She has 2 children, aged 5 and 7. Both of them are in school now. She is a merchant and makes and sells tortillas. She has had this business for more than 10 years.

She started this activity when she was 22 years old with 10 pounds of corn. With much effort and hard work effort she has been able to get ahead with her tortilla sales. She says she feels very good because this business is very profitable and it generates income for her daily. She has regular customers and this is her first business.

Her expectation is to grow her business. She needs the loan to buy corn, firewood and comales to make her tortillas. With the objective of buying all of the raw materials she needs to make her tortillas, her future plans are to open another business selling fritanga to make better earnings.
