A loan of $500 helped to pay for raw ingredients and supplies to use in her business, like rice, pork, chicken and vegetables.

Norafil's story

This is Norafil. Her previous loan was a big help in her business. She was able to buy the ingredients that she needed. Her business has been running for two years now. Aside from her food stall, she also has a side car for additional income. She and her husband are working hard to provide income for their everyday expenses and needs.

She would like to apply for another 20,000 PHP loan, which she will use to purchase raw ingredients and supplies -- for example, rice, pork, chicken and vegetables -- for making foods to sell. Her profits from business will definitely help her to sustain her daily needs and the educational expenses of her children. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Norafil hopes that her business will continue to grow and dreams that her children will finish their studies. She meets with her co-fellowship members* every week, to share stories about her life and business and to draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
