A loan of $2,100 helped to purchase household goods for resale.

Dilorom's story

Dilorom is 36 years old and lives in Kanibadam. She is divorced and is raising her two sons alone. Dilorom now lives with her parents and her siblings - it's a big family of seven. She is the oldest daughter and not only graduated with distinction from high school, but also attended university. Unfortunately, she was not able to complete her degree as the family could not afford to pay tuition. Instead, since 2010 Dilorom has been managing a shop that sells household goods. Dilorom purchases her inventory in another city and has had some difficulties managing the store as she does not have much business experience. But she is determined to succeed as she knows there is no one else to rescue her except herself.

Currently Dilorom is renting a stall at the local market, but she has big plans for the future. She wants to purchase her own store, but currently lacks the savings for such a move. Her parents told Dilorom about Arvand/Kiva and she turned to the organization for a loan. She likes the lending terms and conditions for this organization. She is planning to use this loan to expand her inventory and increase profits. Dilorom is thankful to Kiva for financially supporting people during hard time.
