A loan of $850 helped a member to buy cassava flour to sell.

Frank Yamundu Group's story

Kevina is a 42-year-old married woman with six children living in Kasese, Uganda. She has been in the agriculture sector for three years, and she is involved in a number of projects such as a piggery, poultry, and crop farming. She also sells cassava flour to earn extra income.

Like all good mothers, she dreams of educating her children up to the University level. Unpredictable weather changes and the high cost of feed pose challenges to her business growth.

While her dream is to become a model farmer, Kevina intends to use the loan to buy cassava flour to sell. She is a member of the above mentioned group, where each one guarantees the other in accessing a loan.
