Milagro Sulema's story

Sra. Milagro, 52 years old, is married and has two dependent children. She lives in the San Lorenzo community in the southern part of Honduras. She owns her home and for the past ten years has made a living selling groceries, meat, soft drinks and sweets.

Doña Milagro is an enterprising woman who strives to help her two children, both of whom are in school, get ahead. She makes her sales from her house and also as a street vendor. She is an example of optimism and responsibility, since she is one of Prisma Honduras’ best clients.

Doña Milagro is requesting a loan to purchase rice, sugar, coffee, beans, soft drinks, churros (fritters), vegetables, bread, milk, salsas, pastas, etc. Through this loan, she hopes to improve her earnings and in this way also improve her living conditions because she wants to sell a lot of groceries during this winter season.

Doña Milagro’s dream is to have her house in better condition and she also has a good project, a pigsty that she wants to expand.
