La Estancia (Paute) Group's story

La Estancia community bank is formed by 7 women who live in the area of Paute. This placed enjoys a lot of vegetation. It is surrounded by mountains with a privileged climate and fertile land in which they plants the most beautiful flowers and a great variety of fruit. Its people, like the members, are very friendly, gentle and hard working people who day after day improve the economic stability of their homes with their work. They are dedicated to farming, raising animals and trade, still maintaining their culture and traditions of their towns.

One of the members of this group is Janneth. She is 28 years old. She lives with her partner and, as a result of this union, has conceived three children who are 8 and 5 years old and a baby of 6 months. Their first two children study at a little school in the city. Her husband works at the hard job of masonry. The house in which they live is their own.

Janneth spends most of her time at home caring for her children and her home. But to help her husband with the bills at home, she is dedicated to raising and selling chickens and guinea pigs. Also, there are days that call for her to do gardening work.

The money from her loan will be invested in the purchase of guinea pigs and food for all of her animals. Her goal is to make a bigger shed in which to raise her animals.

In this group: María Dolores, María Adoración, Nancy Isabel, Olimpia, Janneth Esperanza, Carmita De Lourdes, Ligia Beatriz
