A loan of $525 helped to buy compost, fertilizers, and pay for weeding and the planting of coffee.

Alfonso's story

Don Alfonso is 51 years old, married, and lives in the town of Siguatepeque with his wife and their three children. He has always been a farmer and has worked approximately 20 years in this trade.

Alfonso started out selling basic grains, but now he produces coffee in parchment and then sells it to brokers at the local market. He has kept his crops well-maintained as a result of investing several loans. Alfonso is requesting his tenth loan in the amount of 10,000 HNL so that he can buy compost, fertilizers, and pay for weeding and the planting of coffee. This investment will help him to continue improving his farm and obtain better production. His plan is to expand his crop and his production.
