A loan of $225 helped to buy more body products for her business.

Miatta's story

Miatta, 33, lives in Margibi County, which has the largest rubber plantation in Liberia. She is married and has five children between fourteen to nineteen years old, all of whom go school and live at home. Miatta herself left school after the fourth grade.

For the past fifteen years Miatta has been selling body cream, powder, spray, and bath soap. She started this business with a little money from her husband and learned how to sell from her auntie. She likes her business because of the customers it attracts.

Miatta is requesting a 16,000 LRD loan through BRAC Liberia to buy more body products for her business. She hopes to earn more in profits to help sustain her family.
