Orlando Jose's story

Orlando is 35 years old and has two children, ages 9 and 5. A farmer, he grows beans and raises cattle. He is from the El Zapote area on the outskirts of Teustepe.

He started work when he was 8, helping his parents, who were growing beans and corn and raising cattle. Little by little he began to acquire experience and this became his daily livelihood. When he got married he began farming independently and specialized in growing beans and raising cattle.

He needs the loan to buy cattle feed and pay for labor for his bean crop. One of his future plans is to buy land so that he can expand his farming area and improve his cattle-raising. His goal is to succeed in giving his children a good education.
