The group Djekafo, consists exclusively of married women who are on average 40 years old, have 4 children and all live in traditional extended families in the town of Fana, Guegneka commune, Dioïla prefecture, region of Koulikoro (second administrative region of the republic of Mali).

They met through family, neighborhood and friendship ties. They sell juice, groundnuts, and a variety of shop items.

The women of the group Djekafo are on their 11th loan in solidarity with Soro Yiriwaso.

The client Mamou, the first person from the left in the row of people sitting, plans to buy ingredients to make juice including a bag of sugar from the resellers at the market in Fana. She will then resell after preparing juice to her customers in town.

She envisions making an average monthly profit of 75,000 FCFA which will be used for the needs of her family and partly reinvested in her business selling juice.

Le groupe Djekafo, composé exclusivement de femmes mariées, ont en moyenne 40 ans, 4 enfants et vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles élargies dans la ville de Fana, commune de Guegneka, préfecture de Dioïla, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font le commerce de jus, d’arachide et d’articles divers de boutique.
Les femmes du groupe Djekafo sont à leur onzième prêt solidaire avec Soro Yiriwaso.
La cliente MAMOU, première personne dans le rang des assises, à partir de la gauche, compte acheter des ingrédients pour le jus dont un sac de sucre avec les revendeurs au marché de Fana, pour ensuite revendre après préparation en jus aux clients de la ville.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice moyen mensuel de 75 000FCFA qui sera utilisé pour ses besoins de la famille et une partie est réinvestie dans l’activité de commerce de jus.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
