Nuru is married and has children. She and her husband strive to always give their children a good education and to ensure that their needs are met.
Nuru has been working for the last three years selling firewood. She buys the product in various places in the interior of the country and sells it broken up in various sizes.
She requests the loan to buy bundles of firewood so that she can get it at a better price and earn higher profits to continue helping her family.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
