A loan of $775 helped to buy fertilizer, manure, and fumigation bombs for her coffee crop.

Dominga's story

Dominga, a 41-year-old married woman, has four minor children who live with them. She and her husband work in agriculture, specifically growing coffee. Her husband taught her this work, which they've done for more than five years. She completed elementary school but wasn't able to continue studying because her parents' income was very low.

Currently she and her husband are each other's mutual support to get ahead, which their children depend on. The coffee crop is about 200 meters from her house, so she walks there.

Dominga's requesting help to buy fertilizer, manure, and fumigation bombs to maintain her coffee crop. If she doesn't take care of the crop in time it can become damaged by the blight that especially affects this type of crop.

She dreams of educating her children so they have a better quality of life and better job opportunities. Working the land is difficult and with so much environmental contamination and the lack of materials, the profit is very small. With the loan, however, she'll be able to prepare and strengthen her crop and have an excellent harvest.
