A loan of $550 helped to buy basic food products.

Gildardo De Jesús's story

Gildardo is 57 years old and a father to four children. He has been working in business since he was very young as, due to his financial situation, he did not have access to education. So, he started working at a very young age.

He says: "My children are my biggest treasure and they make everything worthwhile, from getting up very early to working all day to guarantee for them the life that I never head: access to education." Gildardo tells us that through his work he has improved his family's living condition, which leaves him satisfied with his work.

Tired of so much travelling, two months ago Gildardo decided to start a shop to generate the necessary income that would allow him to look after the family and give him more time to spend with his children and grandchildren.

Today he is applying for a loan to buy stock so that he can offer his customers higher quality service.
