Julio, 23 years old, lives in San Jacinto and has worked in sales since his employment at another business ended. He invested his severance pay into buying products such as frozen meat and soft drinks with plans to sell them in the local market. With this work, he has been able to earn income that has helped him manage personal expenses and study Systems Engineering in a hybrid program (both online and in person).
His primary goal is to have a suitable store to become a distributor of frozen goods by buying in large volumes. He also wants to finish his professional studies. He is currently applying for a Kiva loan, which is his second with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, because his market is in need of more meat products and drinks such as soda, water, and other beverages. With these items, he will increase his sales and this will slowly allow him to grow his business and achieve his goals.
