A loan of $250 helped to purchase stock of green vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes and onions.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is a married woman with three children, two of whom attend school. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and house consumables. For over three years, she has operated a vegetable stall, selling from her home to her neighbors and others that pass by. She faces a major challenge of seasonality when selling vegetables. Elizabeth dreams of establishing a grocery store in the future. With the KES 20,000 she wants to purchase stock of green vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes and onions. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
