Rose is 37 years old and lives in Montserrado County, which has the largest free-port and is the number one commercial county in Liberia. She is single with 5 children between 10 and 21 years old, which are attending school and live at home. She has been selling palm oil, rice, pepper, salt, vita, etc. for the past 7 years. She says her main challenge is the transportation cost. She started this business with money given to her by her mother and she learned this business from her friends. Her favorite part about her business is it gives her money. What make her proud is that it enables her to take care of children and herself. She is requesting this loan to purchase more palm oil, rice, pepper, salt, and vita to expand her sales. She plans to build a house for her children in the future.
