A loan of $325 helped to purchase cosmetic products for her beauty parlor.


Zahida's story

Zahida is a hardworking and diligent 40-year-old woman. She lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan along with her husband and five children. Her husband is a government employee but his income is insufficient to meet the household expenses. All of her children are studying in government schools.

Zahida is an efficient beautician by profession. Since 2010, she has operated her own beauty salon. Currently the stock of beauty supplies of the salon is almost depleted, therefore Zahida wants to purchase cosmetic products to continue her business. For that purpose she has requested for a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase beauty products like facial creams, lipsticks, scrubs, makeup kits, hair colors and some other varieties of products. She would also like to buy some new chairs for her salon.

With the resulting profit, she will pay the installments of the loan and school fees for her children. She dreams to live a happy, healthy and peaceful life with her family. She is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan for their support.
